The Farm

From the year 2000 we have changed approach regarding the business aspect of the farm: recovering the farming and touristic potential of the area, re-establishing the old olive groves, planting new vineyards and renovating the old principal farm house for holiday apartments.




In collaboration with the "Control Organism of Biological Products AIAB" ( Italian Association Biological Farming ) we produce Chianti Classico Wine DOCG Gallo Nero and IGT Wine, and also the renowned Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

The four holiday apartments on hand have been renovated respecting the history of the farm house.

Origin and History

The "Luogo deto Tegline" dates back to the year 1537 as can be read in the Carte dei Capitani di Parte Guelfa from the Florentine Republic.


 

This place was already a farm settlement in Roman Times - as revealed by the great quantity of remnants that have emerged on the fields - and prior to that an Etrurian settlement. Nearby there is an Etrurian necropolis on the Cross Mount in Radda, clearly visibile from Tegline.
